1. MODERN DAY SLAVERY ACT

Modern slavery is a crime resulting in an abhorrent abuse of human rights. It is set out in the Modern Slavery

Act 2015 by the offences of slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour’ and human trafficking’.

Bureau has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with

integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems

and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our

supply chains. This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including

employees at all levels, directors, officers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors,

external consultants, third-party representatives and business partners.

We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling

modern slavery throughout our supply chains, we expect the same high standards from all of our contractors,

suppliers and other business partners, and as part of our contracting processes.

2. ORGANISATION STYRUCTURE AND SUPPLY CHAINS

2.1 Bureau Workspace Ltd is a Commercial Furniture Dealership providing; Specification, Planning,

Procurement, Installation, Move & Churn, Professional Cleaning, Logistics and Aftercare services. Bureau

provides these services to businesses (SME to multinational corporations), specifiers (architects & designers),

main contractors, government departments, charities and consumers.

3. DUE DILLEGENCE PROCESS

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk:

 Where possible we build long standing relationships with our suppliers and make clear our

expectations of business behaviour;

 We survey our supply chain & sub-contractors to ensure they meet our standards ensuring they have

suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and processes.

 We have appropriate policies in place in our employee contracts to encourage the reporting of any

concerns.

4. RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT

The principle risks of slavery/​human trafficking to our business are

 The production of third party components entering our supply chain. We mitigate this risk by continual

monitoring and periodical auditing.

 Exploited labour during installations. We mitigate this by ensure we have the training records &

certificates for individuals on our sites. We ensure these records are current by continual monitoring

and periodical auditing

5. TRAINNG

Training on modern slavery and trafficking

Bureau uses Bulletin’s, Information Packs and Training Seminars (online and face to face) to ensure training

is current. All training material is available on SharePoint, training records are maintained. The following

subjects are covered

 Identify the signs

 Assess the risk

 Controls in place

 Actions & process if slavery/​human trafficking suspected
